1831 – “America (My Country ‘Tis of Thee’) was sang for the first time in The United States in the city of Boston.

1961 – Walt Disney himself is one of the handful of speakers at the Independence Day in The Rebuild Hills at Skorping in the country of Denmark.

1964 – The Beach Boys song “I Get Around” reaches the #1 slot here in The United States.

1966 – The Beatles were attacked while in The Philippines after they unintentionally insulted the First Lady of The Philippines Imelda Marcos.

1969 – The Atlanta Pop Festival which featured Led Zeppelin and Janis Joplin had a record breaking 140,000 people in attendance.

1970 – The famous Casey Kasem’s “American Top 40” debuts for the first time on LA radio, this show has continued on for decades and become one of the most popular radio shows.

1989 – Drew Barrymore attempted suicide at the age of 14, Drew has since went on to become one of the most popular female actors in Hollywood.

1990 – The musical group 2 Live Crew released the song “Banned in the USA” which featured lyrics from The Star Spangled Banner and The Gettysburg Address.

2014 – Rolf Harris, who is known for music and TV acts was sentence for 5 years and 9 months of prison for sexual assault of multiple female minors.
