Bill Cosby Back to Work – Docuseries and Possible Stand Up Comedy

Date:

Bill Cosby was charged in 2018 with three felony counts of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and assaulting Andrea Constand back in 2004. He was facing a three to ten year prison sentence for these charges. He was released on June 30th after a judge found that he was denied protection against self-incrimination.

Now that he has been released it looks like Bill is already jumping back into working and picking up right where he left off! According to TMZ, they met with Bill Cosby’s rep Andrew Wyatt where a lot of this information was released.

Bill Cosby’s New Docuseries

His first project he is wanting to tackle is going to be a five-part docuseries that is going to focus on his personal life, his past professional projects, as well as his trial and experiences while in prison. Producers for the show have told the public that they have already shot some interviews with some of Cosby’s close friends and family as well as some individuals involved in some of his previous projects.

Mr. Cosby himself is schedule to be sitting down with producers soon to shoot his personal interviews.

Stand Up Comedy Tour

Not only is Bill Cosby looking to work on his own five-part docuseries, he has also threw around the idea of wanting to get back to doing stand up comedy. Stand up comedy is one of the major things Mr. Cosby was known for during his earlier years as a professional comedian.

It has been made public that since his release, his manager/team has already contacted several clubs, bars, and venues to see if there would be any interest in having Cosby perform and it seems that there has been enough interest to greenlight this tour.

No more information is available at this time as to when and where these shows may take place.

In addition to these projects already mentioned, Mr. Cosby has talked about doing a public speaking tour as well. This type of speaking tour would be targeted at places like schools, public venues and prisons. Bill says that since his time in prison he has learned many unique stories and would like to share his experiences and stories with the public. He feels that many could benefit from these stories and help to create a better outlook in some individuals eyes.

These details are brand new since it has only been about a week since his release, so nothing is 100% solidified or concrete yet, but it’s going to be interesting to see how the general public takes to these ideas/projects and how accepting they are to Bill’s return to the spotlight.
