1942 – Roger Ebert was born in Urbana, Illinois. Robert went on to partner with Gene Siskel to form the famous television and film critic duo Siskel and Ebert, which for some odd reason has become the “de facto” in rather or not a movie is worth watching….guess we can’t judge for ourselves huh?
1961 – CBS cancels the famous western “Gunsmoke” after 20 seasons and 635 episodes….wow that is alot of policing for ol Matt Dillon, I guess he finally got tired and hung it up!
1991 – Bryan Adams releases his hit single “Everything I do, I do for you” to the public, which later went on to become Billboard Song of the Year that year.
2001 – The very first “The Fast and the Furious” starring Paul Walker and Vin Diesel premiered for the first time in the United States. This film was an instant success and created one of the most successful franchises in cinema history with 10 films to date.
